High up on a cliff by the sea lived a girl named Mira. Her hair was black as ink and her eyes were as big as seashells. Every morning she stood at the cliff's edge and listened to the wind whispering secrets from faraway lands.
One day the wind blew stronger than usual. It lifted Mira's scarf straight into the air and twirled it like a kite. 'Give back my scarf!' called Mira. But the wind laughed and danced on. So Mira made up her mind: she would follow the wind.
The wind carried her through a valley full of giant sunflowers as tall as houses. Butterflies of every rainbow color fluttered around her. The wind whispered: 'Dance with me, Mira, and I will show you the world's secrets.' And Mira began to spin.
She danced through forests of cherry blossoms, over mountains with snow on their peaks, and past lakes that mirrored the sky. Everywhere the wind left trails of glitter and the scent of salt sea and wild flowers.
