Bedtime stories for kids

Good bedtime stories are slow, warm and gentle, and they end in a way that lets a child settle. Fabeligo has a whole collection of them, made for the last quiet half hour of the day. Tales like The Star Coins, The Moon Rabbit and The Sleepy Bear Cub are soft and gentle.

Many of the stories suit ages 2–5, and there are longer ones for children aged 6–9 who like a bit more plot before the lights go out, such as The Dragon and the Lighthouse Keeper. Because the stories run from very short to a little longer, you can pick one to match how sleepy your child already is. A sleep timer of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes ends the listening with a calm Goodnight screen, with no autoplay and no notifications.

Every story is narrated in Swedish, English and Norwegian, with read-along text in seven languages. Fabeligo is free for every family, with no ads and no accounts, and every story can be downloaded to work offline. That makes it an easy bedtime story app to keep on the phone or tablet by the bed.

Questions

Things parents often ask.

How long are the bedtime stories?

They run from about 2 minutes to about 13 minutes, so there is something for a quick wind-down and something for a slower evening.

Is there a sleep timer?

Yes. You can set it to 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. When it ends, a soft Goodnight screen takes over, with no autoplay and no notifications.

Are these bedtime stories suitable for a 3-year-old?

Yes. Many of them are made for ages 2–5, with short, gentle stories and soft narration. There are also longer ones for children aged 6–9.
